We’re Serious About BBQ in Murfreesboro
The Boro BBQ Festival is the county’s only sanctioned KCBS event. Our competitors receive prize money in the categories of Chicken, Ribs, and the always-fun Anything Butt competition. This competition is part of the KCBS Competitive Series event and teams come from all over the southeast to bid their ‘Que against some of the best.
We’re Serious About Serving the Community
The Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club is a part of Rotary International which is a worldwide organization of business and professional men and women dedicated to providing humanitarian services, encouraging high moral standards, and promoting peace throughout the world. Through its many diverse missions and projects Rotary also seeks to encourage its members to engage in active public service, public welfare, and to exemplify sound standards of conduct in local civic and community affairs. Rotarians strive to impact the community in which they live with manpower, talent, leadership, guidance and financial support.
The Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club actively supports a number of local charities. There are many deserving and worthy organizations that help people in our community of which our members provide financial and hands on support.
Through our Special Gifts Program these local charities received support in 2023: Center for the Arts, Read to Succeed, InterFaith Dental, Girls State, CAPE, FolkFest, Sports4All, Sam Davis Home, MSO, Alzheimer’s Association. Annually, support is provided to the Good Shepherd’s Home, Tennessee School for the Blind, Jabulani/Westville and the Polk Scholarship Fund.
