People’s Choice Event
OK ok ok – you can’t eat the competition BBQ directly from our KCBS cookers. But we’ve figured out a way to get you in on the fun. We got our cookers to throw a little extra special on the grill just for you. A $10 entry fee let’s you be the judge on our competition cookers’ pulled pork samples. Mark your scores out of 10, 2 ounce samples, the way our KCBS- certified judges do. The winner gets a $200 prize and bragging rights…so you can be sure they care about what you put in your mouth. Best of all, 100% of your $10 per person fee is put right back into this community through the Breakfast Rotary Foundation.
Craft Beer Garden
Do we need to say it? Yeah, over 21 fun by the glassful at the craft beer garden.
Family Zone
Hop on some inflatables, pet a goat, sheep, or zebra, or get your face painted. You never know what kind of good clean fun you’ll find in the Family Zone! Some activities have a small admission fee while others are free!

Bands

END OF THE LINE

End of the line is the premiere Allman brothers tribute band. having carved up the southeast with sold out shows in Georgia & Tennessee, end of the line is making a name for themselves with a sound as classic & heavy as the original brothers themselves. from the authentic, raspy vocal approach of Justin Smith to the chugging drum/percussion train of Chase Bader, Dave Duba, and Ryan RcClanahan, the band both pays homage while pushing the boundaries of the timeless & extensive catalog. Carrying the electric weight of Duane Allman is Conor Kelly & his counterpart dickey is Adam Gorman, who is the band’s lone Maconite. last, but certainly not least, the low end duties are vastly covered by Casey Conway, who is a perfect bottom end sandwich of Berry, Allen, and Oteil. with endorsements from the official Allman Brothers museum the big house, end of the line carries on the legacy of the Allman Brothers with poise & power. Come experience the soul, the guitarmony, the jam, and the Ramblin’ spirit that still lives on through each note hit.

Ultimate 80s

Ultimate 80s are an authentic and energetic 5 piece band paying tribute to the best music of the 1980’s. Our dynamic and exciting show delivers the best in classic pop hits from the greatest decade of music. With the reformations in the last few years of bands such as Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Ultravox and Yazoo playing to sold-out arena audiences, never has nostalgia for this decade been so prominent: “This is England” and “Ashes to Ashes” have bought the 80’s back to our TV screens, whilst ‘The Karate Kid’ and ‘Arthur’ movies hit the silver screen to begin a barrage of 80’s remakes soon to hit our cinemas.Twentysomethings are also discovering their parents’ record collections tucked away in the loft, which has resulted in more turntables being sold over the last two years than CD players, and vinyl sales have been rapidly increasing whilst the CD’s declines.Ultimate 80s play up to 2 hours of live music from the New Romantic hits of Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran and Soft Cell, through the soft rock of Simple Minds, INXS and Huey Lewis, to the pop anthems of Wham, A-Ha, Kajagoogoo and Go West.Promotional support is given through the supply of posters, flyers and direct marketing to our fan database. The 80s are back and they’re here to stay, so:Put on your red shoes and dance the blues…

Yes! – And No. Our cookers are dedicated Kansas City BBQ Association competitors and they, by rule, cannot share their competition ‘Que with the public. However, you can eat BBQ, Hot Dogs, Kettle Corn, and a plethora of other food for sale by our vendors. If you’re really coming for the Competition BBQ, you can participate in our People’s Choice competition. Many of our competitors elect to compete in this voluntary event where their aim is to please YOU. Check out the People’s Choice tent for more information. Participation costs $10 and the competitors will get a trophy, cash prize, and bragging rights. They take whatever they put on their smokers seriously.

For some people, you can’t have BBQ without a Beer! We’re still working on the details of our famous Beer Garden. Check back soon.
We’re still confirming with the bands. We’ll let you know as soon as we do!
Yeah. It broke our hearts. (Our stomachs are still rumbling) Obviously we can’t control the weather or the pandemic. We’re full force. And unless we’re mandated to cancel by local authorities, or we feel that staying open would be a risk to public health, we’re chiseling in stone May 7, 2022.
